Visit all the Middleton Golden Cluster buildings in one weekend as they are specially opened for Heritage Open Days.

10am – 4pm – St. Leonard’s Church is open for visitors: Grade I listed medieval church with many beautiful features created by generations of craftspeople. Tour guides available.

 

10am – 4pm – Visit the “Arts & Crafts Church” Long Street Methodist: Edgar Wood’s finest Arts & Crafts building… a beautiful art nouveau church and school built round a garden. Exhibitions about Middleton’s Arts & Crafts heritage.

11am – 4pm – Visit Queen Elizabeth Grammar School: a beautiful ancient school and the oldest in the north. Watch the entertaining Renaissance Middleton” film 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

 

12 noon onwards – Ye Olde Boar’s Head is open for visitors: relax amongst the ancient timbers of England’s oldest pub and enjoy a meal or a drink.
