Family History Group joins Middleton Heritage

It was a warm evening (too warm, perhaps – we contemplated changing rooms) but there was a relaxed atmosphere at yesterday’s Middleton Heritage meeting (Tuesday 6pm, 21st April). The Family History Group joined us as we worked out details and options of how best the society could use the facilities for its weekly meetings. There are now nine local heritage groups involved with the project.

Chris outlined what being a director of the new Arts & Crafts Trust committed people to. We were surprised at how little was involved. David explained the relationship between Middleton Heritage and Arts & Crafts Awakening etc. while Lindsey teased out of us our plans for this year and the broader vision for the future. We went on to discuss the planned Heritage Lottery Fund bid as Nick showed us the enormous heritage archive he had organised on Edgar Wood.
